160 years old, which once housed the general store in the mining town
of Tererro, were taken apart and reassembled as a summer home in the early
50's. Now the cabin has been completely renovated into a two bedroom/two
bath log home with two fireplaces, an outdoor hot tub in a private garden,
all nestled in an aspen grove 100 feet from the river. Fully equipped
kitchen, laundry, satellite television w/ VCR, CD/cassette stereo, phone,
propane barbeque, king and queen size beds with a queen sofa bed in the

AT WINDY BRIDGE
Once a log homestead
on a ranch down river, this cabin has been reassembled, remodeled
and accented on two sides with a veranda that snuggles right up
to the Pecos. The king bedded loft has two balconies, one overlooking
the river. The other bedroom contains a full bed. The cabin is completed
by a large bath with laundry, full kitchen, propane barbeque, direct
satellite TV (with VCR), CD/Cassette Stereo, and a hot tub overlooking

CABIN
From your hot tub
on the front porch you overlook a private stretch of the Pecos. A queen

GHOST
Perched on a gentle
hill overlooking the once busy townsite of Tererro remains one of
the few surviving cabins from the old mining days. This remodeled
two bedroom, one bath log cabin has a screened porch that wraps three
sides, a large stone fireplace, full kitchen, full bath, laundry,
propane barbeque, telephone, VCR television and CD/cassette stereo.
The upstairs contains a king bed, the smaller bedroom contains two
twin beds and there is a queen sofa/bed in the living room. GREAT

TROUT
HAVEN
In
the 50's Trout Haven was run as an "exclusive" fishing camp, with a lodge
for meals and twelve small "housekeeping cabinettes" set on three terraced
acres of apple trees. In the 60's it became the private retreat of a Houston
oilman and his family. The property's common space is shared by the lodge
and two remodeled cozy cabins described below and even has it's own pier
over the river. (All three cabins rented together sleep 10.)
TROUT HAVEN LODGE
This 50's style
home has a master bedroom with king bed; the second bedroom contains twins
and a full sized bed; and each has it's own bathroom. The living room
and dining room contain the original stone fireplaces. There is a fully
equipped kitchen, laundry, flagstone patio, hot tub, propane barbeque,telephone,
satellite TV with VCR and CD/cassette stereoe. (Sleeps 6)

The mysterious
"Pablo" built Trout Haven's most romantic retreat from 100 year old
timbers reclaimed from a train tressle over the Great Salt Lake in
Utah. The cabin contains a queen bedded loft, full kitchen, bath,
covered porch with propane barbeque, private hot tub area and VCR
television. (Sleeps 2)

UNCLE
HAROLD'S CABIN
Uncle Harold Hunt
from Texas lived in this 2-room log cabin with an outhouse for 30
years, next to his brother Charlie's cabin at Trout Haven. One room
has been remodelled into a modern kitchen and small bathroom. The
"main" room holds a queen-bed and small dining area. A large covered
porch looks down through the aspens and lillac bushes to the river.

VIRGINIA'S
PLACE
Open year round.
New log construction makes this two bedroom/two bath home a perfect
large family getaway. Cathedral ceilings allow for a spacious loft
with two additional queen beds. Full modern kitchen, laundry, central
heat, large stone fireplace and a propane barbeque on the extended
front porch complete a wonderful package for relaxing. The hot tub
looks over the river and so does a cozy bay window - perfect for
that good book. Telephone, VCR television and CD/cassette stereo.
